Jeffrey A. Rattikin:
Since 1989, Jeffrey A. Rattikin has envisioned and brought to market a multitude of innovative solutions to the land title, tax-deferred exchange and legal services industries. Mr. Rattikin has practiced commercial and residential real estate transactional law for 26 years. An AV-rated and Board Certified attorney, Jeff has been honored with a number of local and state awards, including a 2016 Top Real Estate Attorney designation in his city for the thirteenth consecutive year, and has been selected as a Texas Super Lawyer by Texas Monthly Magazine, a designation afforded to the top 5% of lawyers in Texas. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a B.B.A. in Finance and Southern Methodist University School of Law. Mr. Rattikin serves as co-owner, counsel and Manager/Escrow Officer of a 72 year old privately held title company, and founder, owner and President of two companies offering regional and national qualified intermediary services to clients engaged in §1031 tax deferred exchanges. Mr. Rattikin is active in numerous local, state and national industry associations, faith-based initiatives in Ethiopia and Brazil, and local civic boards. Jeff’s creation and development of TexasLegalDocs.com, an innovative online legal services company, has led to his most recent endeavor, joining forces as partner and President of GetLegal.com, a nationally-based, industry-leading online source for legal information, products and services. Tom Turet is an AV Preeminent-rated attorney, board certified in Commercial Real Estate Law. Tom has practiced real estate, title, energy, corporate and mortgage lending law for over 38 years, with extensive experience as a fee office title attorney and advisor to banks, mortgage companies and other lending institutions. Named as one of the Top Rated Lawyers by The American Lawyer magazine, Tom has been a frequent speaker on banking and mortgage lending topics including Texas home equity lending, TRID and commercial lending practices. Tom also graduated from The University of Texas at Austin’s School of Business with a B.B.A. in 1774, and with a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Southern Methodist School of Law in 1977, where he served on the Board of Editors of the Southwestern Law Review. He and his wife Kay live in Fort Worth where he has helped raise his four children and three step-children, all of which have obtained college degrees, with several holding advanced degrees in their field.
